Job summary

NVIDIA’s Seattle Robotics Lab seeks PhD-candidate interns to contribute to robotics and AI research. You will develop algorithms for manipulation, integrate them into real-world robotic systems, and collaborate on multi-person research projects that span perception, planning, control, and reinforcement learning.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a PhD program in Robotics, ML, CS, EE, ME, or related field.
  • First-author work published in top robotics/AI venues is highly desirable.
  • Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with C++, CUDA a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with robotics frameworks (ROS2) and physics simulators (MuJoCo, Isaac Sim).
  • Fluency with PyTorch or JAX.

Responsibilities

  • Develop algorithms and methods for robotic manipulation and loco-manipulation.
  • Integrate methods into real-world robotic systems (arms, manipulators, mobile platforms).
  • Contribute to multi-person research projects across robotics and ML stacks.
  • Engage with academia through publications, conferences, and code releases.
  • Develop AI agents to accelerate research while ensuring correctness and reproducibility.
