Autodesk Research invites a PhD candidate to join as a Research intern. You will explore novel technologies across AI, computer vision, graphics, robotics, and human-computer interaction, contributing to learning-based design systems and immersive world models.

The 16-week paid internship runs May 24 to Sept 10, 2027, with opportunities for office, remote, and hybrid work per business needs. You'll build research prototypes, evaluate methods, and present findings through papers and demos.

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing a PhD with completion date 2028 or later.
• Research experience in AI/ML, computer vision, reality capture and 3D reconstruction, 3D modeling or geometry generation.
• Strong programming skills, ideally with Python and modern ML frameworks.
• Experience designing computational experiments and working with complex datasets.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Track record of contributions to the field, demonstrated through related projects, open-source work, or publications.

Aufgaben

• Research multimodal AI approaches for the generation and editing of novel 3D representations of built environments.
• Develop methods using foundation models, AI agents, and/or world models.
• Work with multimodal datasets, including visual, spatial, behavioral, and physics simulations data.
• Design experiments and benchmarks to evaluate AI predictions against human responses.
• Build and evaluate research prototypes for real and simulated environments.
• Document and communicate findings through papers, presentations, and demonstrations.
