Job summary

Boise State University’s College of Engineering seeks a PhD Program Coordinator to support Biomedical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Engineering Science doctoral programs.

You will serve as a central resource from recruitment through graduation, coordinating admissions, funding, milestones, and program operations while collaborating with faculty and staff to strengthen the student experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate admissions for the programs, including responding to time-sensitive applicant questions, managing and pre-screening application materials, and coordinating faculty and co-director review of applications.
• Manage graduate assistantships and track student funding, coordinating with departments to maintain data on funding throughout degree programs.
• Develop processes to support recruiting, admissions, progress reports, and program review, ensuring effective communication with recruits and students.
• Organize milestone activities (comprehensive exams, proposals, defenses) and advise students on requirements, room reservations, refreshments, and documentation.
