Job summary

Intel Corporation in Oregon is seeking a Module Engineering PhD Intern to contribute to the optimization and development of manufacturing processes for a module within semiconductor production. You will sustain and improve manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot issues, and support qualification activities, applying your academic knowledge in a hands-on setting.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. candidate in STEM field with progress toward degree.
  • Strong foundation in semiconductor processing concepts (lithography, etching, deposition).
  • Experience with data analysis and experimental design.
  • Experience with materials and physical device characterization (SEM/TEM) would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of semiconductor manufacturing processes for a specific module.
  • Sustain and improve manufacturing equipment performance to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform qualification activities to meet production standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance process control methodologies and achieve production goals.
  • Apply statistical analysis and design of experiments to improve process reliability and throughput.
  • Gain hands-on experience with materials and device characterization techniques (SEM/TEM).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for process control systems.
