Job summary

Intel Foundry is seeking a Module Engineering PhD Intern to contribute to the development and implementation of manufacturing processes within a module in semiconductor manufacturing. You will support troubleshooting, maintenance, and qualification of equipment, while exploring process optimization to meet production targets.

This on-site internship offers hands-on experience in collaboration with engineering teams, focusing on process control methodologies and real-world manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree in Physics, Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated skills through academic research, coursework, or hands‑on training in areas such as semiconductor processing, manufacturing equipment, or advanced materials.
  • Familiarity with process control techniques and methodologies.
  • Technical proficiency in analyzing data and identifying process optimization opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and refining manufacturing processes for semiconductor modules.
  • Support equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and qualification activities to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize process control methodologies and enhance production efficiency.
  • Work on projects that address real-world manufacturing challenges, applying your technical knowledge and research skills.
