Intel in Hillsboro, Oregon is offering a PhD-level Module Engineering Intern position in the F25 Metals organization. You will work with engineers, technicians, and operations teams to support high-volume manufacturing of leading-edge semiconductor technologies and own a meaningful project.

You will analyze data, apply structured problem-solving, and collaborate across disciplines. This internship provides hands-on experience, networking, mentorship, and exposure to advanced manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a PhD in a technical discipline with coursework or research in semiconductors.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 and availability for a 10–12 week summer internship.
  • 3+ months of education, research, or internship experience relevant to the field.
  • Onsite work ability in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a project from problem definition through execution and final presentation.
  • Analyze manufacturing, equipment, and operational data to support decision making.
  • Apply structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, quality teams, and operational stakeholders.
  • Develop technical communication and presentation skills.
  • Gain exposure to advanced semiconductor manufacturing technologies and operations.
