Job summary

Alexion seeks a Summer Intern in New Haven, CT for Medical Writing Operations. You will support digital collaboration and GenAI adoption using Alexion-approved AI tools and Microsoft platforms, under guidance from subject matter experts.

You will help develop templates, prompts, training materials, and capture findings to hand over on internship completion. Strong English, PhD student, and comfort with cross-functional teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in a PhD program in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Data Science, Biomedical Sciences, Bioinformatics, or a closely related field.
• Experience with GenAI tools and prompt development is required.
• Experience with Microsoft programs including Copilot, Word, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and Loop is required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint are desirable.
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• Ability to organize and analyze project information, user feedback, process observations, and testing results, and clearly communicate findings to team members and subject matter experts.
• Ability and desire to learn new techniques and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support selected projects under guidance, including digital collaboration templates and playbooks.
• Develop and refine prompts for GenAI outputs and document test results.
• Collect user feedback and contribute to adoption playbooks.
• Collaborate with MW Ops and cross-functional teams to improve processes.
• Create training materials and communications for template adoption.
• Attend MW Ops and Innovation Project meetings.
• Deliver end-of-internship summary and hand over deliverables and recommendations.
