Job summary

Intel Foundry seeks an AI Software Engineering PhD Intern to design, develop, and optimize AI software across computer vision, ML, and deep learning. You will implement models, explore applied research, and integrate hardware-software systems to enable scalable AI solutions.

You will contribute to tooling for tool capacity management and predictive analytics, linking manufacturing data with in-house Gen AI and LLM services for conversational querying by engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, ML, Statistics, or related field.
• 6+ months of experience with programming.
• 3+ months experience with Git, Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, MCP server.
• Proficiency in Python programming and machine learning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data-driven solutions to optimize tool capacity management, risk modeling and defect inspection strategies.
• Build robust cloud-based ETL pipelines and develop predictive models to deliver actionable insights.
