Job summary

Intel Corporation is seeking an AI Software Engineering PhD Intern in Santa Clara, CA, to design, develop, and optimize AI software across computer vision, ML, and DL domains. You will implement models, explore applied research, and integrate hardware with software for scalable AI solutions.

You will build cloud ETL pipelines, predictive models, and dashboards, and connect manufacturing data to Gen AI services via an MCP server to empower engineers to query data conversationally.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• 6+months of experience with programing.
• 3+ months experience with Git, Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, MCP server.
• Proficiency in Python programming and machine learning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data-driven solutions that optimize tool capacity management, risk modeling, and defect inspection strategies.
• Build robust cloud-based ETL pipelines, develop predictive models, deliver actionable insights through published reports and dashboards, and build an MCP server that connects manufacturing data and analytical models to our in house Gen AI and LLM service that empowers engineers to query manufacturing data conversationally.
