Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Infrastructure LLC in Redmond, WA seeks a Phased Array Systems Engineer to design and optimize next-generation antenna systems for high-speed satellite connectivity.

You will collaborate with RF, software, and systems teams to bring concepts to prototypes, lead PCB reviews, and prepare designs for high-volume production.

This role offers hands-on testing, exposure to state-of-the-art tooling, and a path to advanced phased-array development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in EE, CE, or equivalent.
• 2+ years in electrical engineering, antenna design, or related systems.
• Experience with RF measurement equipment (meters, analyzers, VNAs, scopes).
• Knowledge of end-to-end hardware/software integration and real-time systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize key blocks within phased array antenna systems.
• Collaborate with RF teams to develop RF circuitry.
• Build and test proof-of-concept systems and prototypes.
• Lead and review PCB layout for performance and manufacturability.
• Design automated test systems, fixtures, and factory procedures.

Phased Array Systems Engineer

You Will Dive Into The Heart Of This Revolutionary Project, Working Alongside Some Of The Brightest Minds In The Industry To Design And Build Next-generation Antenna Systems That Will Change The Way People Connect To The Internet. You Will

• Design and optimize key blocks within our advanced phased array antenna systems.
• Collaborate with RF teams to develop RF circuitry that powers our phased arrays.
• Build and test proof-of-concept systems and prototypes for the next generation of antennas.
• Lead and review PCB layout to ensure our designs are high-performing and manufacturable.
• Design automated test systems, test fixtures, and factory test procedures to validate antenna performance.
• Conduct bring-up and test campaigns to verify our antennas meet performance targets.
• Work closely with RF, software, and systems engineers to integrate and optimize the entire antenna system.
• Partner with supply chain and production teams to prepare designs for high-volume manufacturing.
• Gain hands-on experience with advanced engineering tools and methodologies.

Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
• Experience with RF measurement equipment, including: power meters, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, network analyzers, oscilloscopes
• Experience with analog, digital, and high-speed circuit design
• 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, antenna design or related systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems
• Master's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
• Knowledge of at least one modern programming or scripting language such as C, C++, Python, or MATLAB
• Familiarity with EM simulation tools (e.g., CST, HFSS, ADS)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Linux/Unix environments, and large-scale infrastructure.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
