Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Software Engineer For Antenna Systems in Redmond, WA. You will collaborate with system architects, hardware and FW/SW teams to bring up and test highly integrated systems combining FPGA, firmware, RF, and networking functions.

The role focuses on developing tools, automating hardware tests, and advancing 2D/3D design automation for phased array systems, while mentoring peers and leading architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Systems Architects, Hardware Engineering Design Teams & FW/SW Design Teams to bring up and test systems.
• Develop tools for FPGA, firmware, RF and networking integration.
• Characterize subsystems and antennas and related hardware.
• Build advanced 2D/3D design automation tools for system bring-up.
• Develop bring up tools and scripts for phased array systems.
• Support hardware test automation and complex data storage tasks.
• Contribute to application development across the satellite system stack.

As a Software Engineer For Antenna Systems, You Will Collaborate With Systems Architects, Hardware Engineering Design Teams & FW/SW Design Teams To Bring Up And Test Systems Combining FPGA, Firmware, RF, And Networking Functions And Build Advanced Tools For The Following

• Characterizing subsystems and systems related to antennas
• Complex data storage
• Hardware test automation
• Firmware design and implementation
• Application development
• Design automation for 2D and 3D structures
• Develop bring up tools and scripts for phased array systems

Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Master's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
