Phillips-Lytle LLP in Buffalo, NY seeks a Science Specialist/PharmD to support the Healthcare and Life Sciences Team in litigation defense, compliance, diligence, and regulatory matters. The ideal candidate will combine legal acuity with scientific expertise and craft clear written work.

Responsibilities include monitoring literature, analyzing data, identifying experts, preparing witnesses, drafting reports, and assisting with discovery responses.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or other advanced STEM doctoral degree.
• Some experience in the legal industry preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing monitoring and review of clinical and laboratory studies, and scientific literature.
• Analysis of statistical data.
• Identification of expert witnesses and related diligence.
• Preparation of experts for testimony.
• Collaboration on expert reports.
• Litigation support on product liability, health effects and other litigation.
• Drafting responses to discovery or other information requests pertaining to applicable science.
• Drafting reports, outlines, chronologies, analyses, presentations and position papers.
