Job summary

The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks a student tutor to support Pharmacy School students with instructional help outside regular classes. Tutoring typically occurs in groups, but may be offered one-on-one when a group cannot be formed.

As a tutor, you will promote LECOM's mission, maintain confidentiality (FERPA/HIPAA), and communicate professionally with faculty, students, and visitors. You will report to the Director of Student Performance and Retention and submit bi-weekly time

Qualifications

• Current LECOM Pharmacy student with a GPA of 3.0 in the tutored course.
• Must be approved by the Director of Student Promotion and Retention.
• Tutoring outside regular classes, offered in groups or individually when needed.

Responsibilities

• Promote and preserve the mission of LECOM.
• Act in a friendly, professional manner with faculty, students and visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality (FERPA / HIPAA) of work materials.
• Meet with assigned students to provide individual or group instruction to improve performance.
• Report to the Director of Student Performance and Retention on attendance and improvements.
• Submit bi-weekly time sheets to the direct report.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations.
