Job Summary
- Instruct students in the Pharmacy Technician certificate program.
- Prepare students to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB exam.
- Provide technically relevant instruction in classroom and/or laboratory setting according to established program objectives.
- Instruct from approved curriculum.
- Responsible for assessment and feedback.
- Make suggestions for improvement to ensure students satisfy course standards, training requirements and objectives.
- Motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process.
- Maintain student attendance.
- Assist with course/program evaluation.
Qualifications – Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy or RPh from an accredited college or university, licensed as a pharmacist in the state of New Jersey, or a PTCB certified Pharmacy Technician.
Qualifications – Experience
- 3+ years as a Licensed Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician.
- Hospital pharmacy experience with IV and compounding experience strongly preferred.
- Some retail pharmacy experience highly desired.
Qualifications – Skills
- Prefer prior post-secondary classroom teaching experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Current NJ PharmD License required.
Work Hours
Class schedules may include day, evening or weekend schedules. Please specify availability.
