Qualifications

  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Maryland.
  • At least 2 years in hospital pharmacy using aseptic technique per USP 797.
  • Strong communication and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Perform drug distribution, preparation, compounding, dose calculation, and QA tasks.
  • Deliver medications to locations manually, by pneumatic tube, or refilling automated dispensing cabinets.
  • Monitor medication storage environments for regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with unit inspections as designated.
  • Answer calls courteously and respond to medication messages promptly.
  • Maintain knowledge of standard work, policies, and competency assessments.
  • Order supplies for pharmacy operations.

Assists with unit inspections when designated• Answer phone calls courteously and respond to medication messages in a timely manner• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance when interacting with patients, coworkers, and other members of the healthcare team• Maintain knowledge and understanding of the Adventist Healthcare Pharmacy Department standard work, policies, and procedures as established during training and validated via ongoing competency assessments• Demonstrate the ability to order supplies for cleanQualified candidates will possess:• High School diploma• Licensure as Pharmacy Technician by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy. ·• Highly Preferred: Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
