Job summary

Adventist Rehabilitation - Rockville is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for our Rehabilitation Department. Under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will prepare and deliver medications and maintain inventory in a facility serving the Maryland community.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, completion of an ASHP/PTCB program, and Maryland licensure. Prior experience with Cerner, Pyxis, Pharmogistics, and Carousels is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
• Graduation from ASHP accredited or PTCB recognized program preferred.
• Maryland Pharmacy Technician licensure required.
• PTCB or NHA certification preferred.

Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation seeks to hire an experienced Pharmacy Technician for our Rehabilitation Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will:

• Prepare and deliver medication according to established policies, procedures, and protocols, under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain accurate inventory of medications and supplies.
• Responsible and accountable for controlled drugs in the pharmacy, for oral and solid prepacking, and refilling automated dispensing units.
• Adhere to and exhibits our Core Values of respect, integrity, service, excellence, and stewardship, demonstrating positive customer relations, effective communication skills and excellent work ethics.

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or GED/equivalent
• Graduation from an ASHP accredited or PTCB recognized Pharmacy Technician Training Program preferred.
• Preferred: 1 year of pharmacy experience
• Preferred: Previous experience with Cerner, Pyxis, Pharmogistics, Carousels.
• Required: Licensure as Pharmacy Technician by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy.
