Job summary

Adventist Health Templeton is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists with unit-dose packaging, drawer and stock management, and IV medication preparation. This role supports nursing units by delivering prepared doses and maintaining inventories.

Responsibilities include pulling medications, verifying labels, restocking shelves, and handling incoming orders. A State Pharmacy Technician license is required; board certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent preferred.
  • Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Pulls medications from stock and matches medications with the corresponding label generated by the pharmacist.
  • Maintains floor stock in nursing and other medication areas; restocks and rotates stock.
  • Prepares IV medication products within applicable laws and regulations.
  • Checks in orders from wholesalers; distributes stock and files paperwork; processes returns and back orders.
