Great River Health Systems seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician Trainee to support pharmacists with medication distribution, order entry, and clerical tasks under Iowa Board guidelines. Duties include preparing medications, labeling, and recording doses, with emphasis on accuracy and patient safety.

Responsibilities include verifying prescriptions, maintaining patient profiles, stocking and securing drugs, handling calls, and assisting customers.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician Trainee certificate required within hire period.
• Iowa Board licensure/registration required.
• National certification required within one year if not already certified.

Responsabilités

• Receive prescriptions and verify information accuracy.
• Establish and maintain patient medication profiles.
• Maintain proper storage and security of drugs.
• Answer calls and assist customers with medication information.
• Prepack medications, label, and document dosages.
• Prepare medications under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Ensure clean and organized work areas and sterilize equipment.
• Process prescriptions for filing and invoicing.
• Ensure regular and reliable attendance.

Formation

High School Diploma or GED

Certified Pharmacy Technician Trainee certificate

Iowa Board of Pharmacy licensure/registration

National/pharmacy certification (CPhT)
