Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy experience required or in a pharmacy technician training program.
• Complete Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) within 2 years of hiring.
• High school diploma or equivalent related experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and initiates service transactions using proper forms and process.
• Assists with inputting patient and prescription information and labeling.
• Selects proper drug and quantity to dispense and presents to pharmacist for checking.
• Processes cash, check, or credit card payments for all services.
• Balances monies and prepares bank deposits daily.
• Maintains accurate OTC price schedules and stocks supplies.
• Packs, compounds, reconstitutes, and distributes inventory for dispensing.
• Operates and troubleshoots cashiering equipment and coordinates calls.
