Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program or equivalent.
• Washington Pharmacy Technician Certification required at hire.
• Ability to use available resources and tools efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily pharmacy workflow: typing new prescriptions, processing refills, data entry, and filing prescriptions.
• Counts, pours, and labels medications; handles inventory and stock management.
• Triages phone calls, relays refill requests to pharmacists, and communicates with prescribers as needed.
• Distributes drug therapy accurately, verifies sigs, and calculates dosages based on patient weight.
• Maintains safety checks and patient service quality; follows Kaiser policies and cash handling standards.
• Keeps current on clinical initiatives and supports safe, evidence-based dispensing.
