Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Non-Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in prescription processing, insurance billing, and customer service in our retail pharmacy.

In this role, you will gather patient information, prepare medications under supervision, stock supplies, and help ensure accurate labels and courteous service.

This position offers on-site work in Nebraska, with training toward national certification and opportunities to grow in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working toward licensed technician certification through a certified national program required.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy clerk preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service at the pharmacy counter and greet customers with a smile.
• Assist pharmacists in processing prescriptions and insurance billing under supervision.
• Gather and maintain accurate patient information for prescriptions and maintain patient privacy.
• Stock pharmacy supplies and log invoices; prepare labels and assist with dispensing as directed by the pharmacist.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pharmacy area and follow HIPAA guidelines.
