Hy-Vee is seeking a Non-Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in processing prescriptions, handle insurance billing, and manage inventory in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will gain hands-on experience toward national certification while learning operations from qualified pharmacists and technicians. This role emphasizes customer service, accuracy, and HIPAA compliance in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working toward licensed technician certification through a certified national program required.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy clerk preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers.
• Assist with prescription processing, insurance billing, inventory, and customer service.
• Gather and maintain accurate patient information for prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products for dispensing.
• Prepare and affix labels and mail prescriptions when applicable.
• Submit insurance claims and assist with third-party billing.
• File prescriptions after dispensing and report medication errors.
