Job summary

ProMedica in Toledo Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to work in a learning capacity while enrolled in an approved technician training program to assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory and patient records.

In this supervised role, you will work under the direction of a registered pharmacist, gaining hands-on experience in hospital pharmacy operations and contributing to patient safety and accurate medication dispensing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, 18 years of age OR enrolled in board approved high school training program and at least 17 years of age.
• Active Ohio Board of Pharmacy Technician License (expires 1 year from receipt) or obtained prior to start date if working in Ohio.
• Active Temporary Pharmacy Technician License (expires 1 year from receipt) or obtained prior to start date if working in Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications.
• Maintain drug inventory and patient records.
• Work under supervision of a registered pharmacist.
