Job summary

ProMedica Toledo Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to support pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintain drug inventory, and update patient records. You will work in a learning capacity under supervision from a registered pharmacist.

This role requires enrollment in an approved technician training program and compliance with Ohio and Michigan licensing requirements. The position is full-time with a 40-hour workweek at Toledo, OH.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Ohio Board of Pharmacy Technician Trainee License (expires 1 year from receipt) or obtained prior to start date in Ohio.
• Active Temporary Pharmacy Technician License (expires 1 year from receipt) or obtained prior to start date in Michigan.

Job Summary: As the Pharmacy Technician Trainee, you work in a learning capacity while enrolled in an approved technician training program to assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory and patient records. In this learning role, you will work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent, 18 years of age OR enrolled in board approved high school training program and at least 17 years of age.
• Active Ohio Board of Pharmacy Technician Trainee License (expires 1 year from receipt) or obtained prior to start date if working in Ohio.
• Active Temporary Pharmacy Technician License (expires 1 year from receipt) or obtained prior to start date if working in Michigan
