Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution team. Under supervision, you will perform technical and clerical duties, maintain confidential reports, and support medication distribution across patient care areas.

Minimum education is a high school diploma or equivalent, and FLBOP registration is required within six months of hire; no prior experience is necessary, with potential for 6–12 months of pharmacy exposure as

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Under the direct supervision* of the Director/Pharmacy, Supervisor/Pharmacy, or a Pharmacist, trains to perform a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system. Responsible for maintaining confidential reports, entering and retrieving data utilizing the computer system, filling automated medication dispensing systems with a supply of unit dose medications, procuring and filling requests for pharmaceutical supplies, and delivering supplies to patient care areas.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent .

Required Experience:

Minimum: No previous experience required.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

FLBOP registration in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXXII (Regulations of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 465 (Pharmacy), Section 014 (Pharmacy Technician), within six (6) months post-hire. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Six (6) to twelve (12) months of pharmacy experience.
