Job Description
- Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
- Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification or Licensing Preferred: Pharmacy Certification
- Lifting Requirement: Up to 25 pounds
- Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age
Job Responsibilities
- Welcome patients warmly and acknowledge them with compassion at all pharmacy entry points.
- Model excellent patient care by respecting, engaging, and meeting or exceeding all patient needs, including processing orders in person and by phone, guiding patients to products, and referring questions to the pharmacist.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to meet company and government standards.
- Assist team members with tasks to ensure efficient department operations.
- Use the pharmacy computer to perform necessary actions such as searching for patient profiles, managing prescriptions, and entering invoices to maximize efficiency and patient care.
- Support team efforts to improve outcomes using relevant service and business metrics.
- Participate in all company initiatives and training programs, completing required exams.
- Follow all applicable policies, laws, and regulations, including HIPAA and pseudoephedrine sales laws.
- Finalize sales accurately using the cash register, following established procedures.
- Transcribe prescription data accurately to generate customer labels.
- Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels by ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating supplies per policy.
- Answer phone calls politely and promptly, providing accurate information and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Resolve customer questions and concerns effectively in collaboration with management and support staff.
- File prescriptions daily to maintain organized records.
