Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician Trainee, you’ll be a key part of our collaborative team. Job Description

• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
• Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification or Licensing Preferred: Pharmacy Certification
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 25 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years old

Job Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge patients with compassion at all pharmacy entry points.
• Model excellent patient care by respecting, engaging, and exceeding patient needs, including processing orders, directing patients, and referring questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to meet company and regulatory standards.
• Assist team members to ensure efficient department operations.
• Use pharmacy computer systems to process prescriptions, manage inventory, and perform other tasks to maximize efficiency and patient care.
• Contribute to improving outcomes by understanding service and business metrics.
• Support the implementation of company initiatives and programs.
• Complete required training and exams.
• Adhere to all policies, laws, and regulations, including HIPAA and pseudoephedrine sales laws.
• Finalize sales accurately using the cash register, following established procedures.
• Transcribe prescription data accurately for labeling.
• Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels through ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
• Answer phone calls politely and provide accurate information.
• Address customer questions and concerns effectively.
• File prescriptions daily.
