Cardinal Health is seeking a remote, full-time Supervisor/Lead Pharmacy Technician to oversee a team of 15–20 technicians handling prescription data entry, order management, and patient outreach. You will guide day-to-day workflows, ensure accuracy, and manage performance through coaching and 1:1s.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in a lead role, with a preferred Bachelor's degree and OH registration. Knowledge of Brightree, PioneerRx, or GuardianRx is a plus; remote setup is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a Lead Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Supervisor or similar people-leader role,
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience; OH registration preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician with Active/Clear OH registration if located outside OH (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of up to 15–20 pharmacy technicians focused on prescription data entry, order management, and patient outreach.
• Provide day-to-day oversight of technician workflows, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of inbound/outbound communications.
• Conduct regular 1:1s with direct reports and lead techs to set expectations, provide feedback, and support development.
• Deliver coaching and performance management, including corrective actions and escalation of ongoing issues.
• Collaborate with supervisors to align team goals, share best practices, and ensure consistent execution across units.
• Support project work by contributing to goal-setting, tracking progress, and presenting updates to team and leadership.
• Partner with IT, operations, and other departments to implement system enhancements and process improvements.
• Facilitate onboarding and training for new technicians, ensuring readiness for production and SOP adherence.
• Monitor team metrics and performance indicators to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

• Deliver second-tier coaching and performance management, including corrective actions and escalation of ongoing issues.
• Collaborate with fellow supervisors to align team goals, share best practices, and ensure consistent execution across business units.
• Support project work by contributing to goal-setting, tracking progress, and presenting updates to the team and leadership.
• Partner cross-functionally with IT, operations, and other departments to implement system enhancements and process improvements.
• Facilitate onboarding and training for new technicians, ensuring readiness for production and adherence to SOPs.
• Monitor team metrics and performance indicators, using data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Lead Pharmacy Technician or in a Pharmacy Supervisor or similar people leader role, preferred Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred Certified Pharmacy Technician with Active/Clear registration with the OH Board of Pharmacy and in home state (if located outside of OH).
• Knowledge of Brightree, PioneerRx, and/or GuardianRx pharmacy management system preferred but not required.
• Previous experience training/coaching team members in various areas of pharmacy operations preferred.

Remote Details

You will work remotely, full-time. It will require a dedicated, quiet, private, distraction free environment with access to high-speed internet. We will provide you with the computer, technology and equipment needed to successfully perform your job. You will be responsible for providing high-speed internet.
