The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Boston Healthcare System, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician at the GS-07 level. The technician will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to fill, prepare, and dispense prescriptions, and assist with sterile products and automated dispensing equipment.

Responsibilities include inventory management, customer service for Veterans, and potential involvement in program management and quality assurance within the Pharmacy Service at West Roxbury, MA.

Formación

• Citizenship in the United States is required.
• English language proficiency in spoken and written form is required.
• Certification is required for higher-grade positions (PTCB/CPhT or ExCPT).
• Experience as a pharmacy technician and knowledge of pharmacy concepts support advancement.
• Ability to operate automated dispensing equipment and manage inventory.

Responsabilidades

• Fill, prepare and dispense prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Prepare sterile products when applicable and assist with sterile compounding.
• Manage automated dispensing equipment (ADE) and inventory control.
• Provide technical customer service to Veterans regarding prescription needs.
• Assist with program management and quality improvement activities as needed.
