Job summary

The incumbent will rotate through inpatient and outpatient areas, perform prescription processing, dispensing, inventory management, and collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare staff to ensure safe medication distribution.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pharmacy technician principles and workflows.
• Certification required for higher grade levels (CPhT or ExCPT).
• Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Understanding of medication safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing medications and preparing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain accurate inventory, stock, and storage per USP/VA guidelines.
• Operate automation and QA processes; report malfunctions promptly.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff and students.
• Support inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations and patient care.
