Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital in Troy, MI seeks a full-time Pharmacy Technician on rotating shifts to support inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services. You will assist in preparing IV admixtures, stock management, and daily record keeping, while delivering patient-centered medications across care areas.

The role requires a high school diploma, sterile compounding experience, and MI technician license upon hire; benefits include comprehensive coverage and on-demand pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with sterile compounding or 6 months technician experience or ASHP accredited technician training program.
• Preferred MI Pharmacy Technician license upon hire or Pharmacist Intern license upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Fills medication orders including oral, injectable, topical, and IV admixtures.
• Assists in the bulk manufacturing of special pharmaceutical products.
• Prepares and distributes floor stock items in response to requisition forms.
• Enters charges and credits into the computer for all medications and IV admixtures; documents medications and IV solutions returned to Pharmacy.
• Distributes prepared medications to patient care areas and/or other departments of the Hospital.
• Performs necessary record keeping functions.
• Answers telephone and assists at Pharmacy window.
• May rotate within hospital and out-patient pharmacy service areas as required.
• Maintains the work area in a safe, orderly manner.
• Follows USP 797 guidelines for IV admixtures.
