Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking an entry-level Pharmacy Technician. After training, you will decipher and enter orders, compound IVs, perform labeling, and assist with dispensing duties. You will stock the department, answer calls, and support the pharmacist on duty.

Responsibilities include sterile and non-sterile compounding per USP guidelines, restocking UD carts, and using systems like EPIC and McKesson robots. High school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Pharmacy Technician licensure is required or equivalent experience.
• Annual aseptic technique exam must be completed within 90 days of hire and yearly thereafter.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with pharmacy software are essential.
• Medical terminology knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run reports, restock dispensing machines, and assist with narcotic discrepancies.
• Sterile and non-sterile compounding per USP guidelines; maintain clean areas.
• Enter orders accurately, label, and manage IV room tasks.
• Answer phones, assist pharmacists, and support daily department duties.
• Operate barcoding and formulary tools to verify NDCs and barcodes.
