Job summary

JobRx, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist with stocking and maintaining IV area inventory and to support IV Technicians in the clean room and internal pharmacy areas.

Responsibilities include accurate prescription preparation, stocking medications, labeling, and helping ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining compliance with state requirements.

Job Description Summary

Employee is responsible for assisting the Pharmacist by stocking and maintaining inventory in the IV areas. They will assist IV Technicians in the clean room and internal pharmacy area.

Essential Job Functions

• Accurate preparation and filling of written, telephone, faxed and electronic prescriptions.
• Assist IV Technicians in the area of ordering, stocking medications and supplies, and monitoring inventory levels on a daily basis.
• Responsible for filling patient orders and preparing them for delivery.
• Ability to learn pharmacy software to prepare IV labels as needed.
• Types, distributes, or files prescriptions, and other department materials.
• Aligns all prepared products with labels and calculations for the pharmacists to check.
• Readies IVs and supplies for delivery and/or mail outs.
• Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department.
• Responsible for ordering and purchasing clean room supplies and compounding products.
• Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.

Job Specifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Licensure, Registration, Certification

• Technician Certification required
• MUST be registered with the State of Tennessee within 90 days of employment

Experience

• Prefer Pharmacy Technician experience, retail experience preferred.
