Job summary

Mercy Health– Fairfield Pharmacy is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician Specialist to join the Pharmacy - Fairfield team. The role involves supporting chemotherapy IV compounding oversight, sterile prep, audits, and daily pharmacy operations.

Qualifications include ExCPT or PTCB with State license, High School diploma, and at least 1 year of experience in hospital, ambulatory, or related pharmacy settings. Afternoons/Evenings shift; 40 hours/week in Fairfield, CT.

Qualifications

• Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions.
• Reviewing and recording patient information with their prescription in compliance with guidelines.
• Assists in the education and precepting of new pharmacy technicians, pharmacy students, performance improvement activities.
• Providing instructions to educate people on the correct way to take their medicine.
• Protecting employees and patients by adhering to infection-control protocols and policies.
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities
