Job summary

Advocate Health’s Winston-Salem-based Retail Pharmacy is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician for the Winston East location. The role focuses on accurate medication lists, patient safety, and seamless coordination with the care team.

Role requires PTCB/NHA certification, NC Pharmacy registration within 30 days, and a strong attention to detail. Typical schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a $6,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• PTCB/NHA technician certification required.
• North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration as a pharmacy technician required within 30 days of hire.
• Nice-to-have: completion of a formal technician training program; one-year pharmacy experience; associate degree in healthcare or business field.

Responsibilities

• Completes area-specific work per standard processes and policies.
• Serves as an expert with equipment and technology in the specialty area.
• Solves technical issues in the area as they arise.
• Ensures documents and records are accurate and timely.
• Supports communication with patients and the care team.
• Identifies quality improvement opportunities to ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Contributes to implementation of operational changes and site standards.
• Maintains updated knowledge and collaborates with leadership.
