Job summary

David Raines Community Health Centers is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist by performing pharmacy-related duties in Louisiana, handling prescriptions, filing, and helping patients with questions. You will maintain patient profiles, inventory, and controlled substances information, rotate between DRCHC sites, and ensure HIPAA compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma, Louisiana Pharmacy Technician Certificate, at least one year of retail pharmacy or community health

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Louisiana Pharmacy Technician Certificate required.
Minimum 1 year experience in retail pharmacy or community health center.
Experience with electronic health records preferred (NextGen or similar).
Flexible to work at multiple sites (Bossier and Shreveport).

Responsibilities

Measure, count, mix and label prescriptions accurately.
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.
Receive and verify prescription orders, checking patient profiles for conflicts or missing information.
Manage inventory of medications and pharmaceutical supplies.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
Answer phones and greet customers.
Adhere to HIPAA regulations, infection-control protocols.
Rotate to DRCHC sites (Bossier and Shreveport) as needed.
