Job summary

Penn Highlands Healthcare in the United States is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support our Retail Pharmacy under the supervision of the Pharmacist. You will enter and fill medication orders, maintain inventory, and assist customers.

The role emphasizes accurate billing/crediting within the Pharmacy Department, and opportunities for professional development and benefits. A High School Diploma is required; PA State Board licensure is needed and MS Office skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be registered with PA State Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician or Trainee at hire; certified within 2 years of hire or grandfathered by 06/28/2026.
• Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.

Summary:

AS THE PHARMACY TECHNICIAN, you will be responsible to the Retail Pharmacy Manager. Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist the Technician enters and fills medication orders, maintains drug inventory, records and assists customers/patients. The Pharmacy Technician is competent in all billing and crediting processes within the Pharmacy Department.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience/Skills

Must be registered with PA State Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee at hire (only valid for 2 years, cannot be renewed); Certified Pharmacy Technician within 2 years of hire date or grandfathered by 06/28/2026

Preferred Experience/Skills
