Job summary

Maine Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists and the care team in the storage, preparation, and distribution of medications within MaineHealth.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a current or eligible pharmacy technician license in the relevant state, and ideally a CPhT certification. At least six months of licensed pharmacy technician experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Current or eligible for applicable state license as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is preferred.
• Six months of experience as a licensed pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Functions in an independent capacity within the pharmacy practice area.
• Assist pharmacists, other pharmacy technicians, and care team in storage, handling, preparation, and distribution of medications.
• Support the care team in ensuring accurate medication dispensing and inventory control.

For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $3,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Pharmacy Technicians!

• Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time Pharmacy Technician position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
• Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Summary

The Pharmacy Technician role functions in an independent capacity in their respective pharmacy practice area. The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and the care team in the storage, handling, preparation, and distribution of medications within MaineHealth.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. License/Certifications: Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is preferred.
3. Experience: Six months of experience as a licensed pharmacy technician.

The pay range for this position is $21.09 to $27.12 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
