Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Procurement & Logistics to oversee purchasing, receiving, storing, and distributing medications and supplies. You will process purchase orders, handle invoices, manage recalls, and ensure compliance with supply chain requirements.

The role requires a Pharmacy Technician with CPhT certification and 3 years of experience, plus strong collaboration with pharmacists, vendors, and clinical staff to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • License/Certifications: CPhT required.
  • Experience: Three years as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Preferred: inventory systems, FDA standards, CS regulations, and collaboration with vendors, pharmacists, clinical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Purchasing, receiving, storing, distributing, and maintaining medication and supply inventory.
  • Process purchase orders and invoices.
  • Manage medication recalls and ensure medication supply chain compliance.
  • Collaborate with vendors, pharmacists, and clinical staff to optimize inventory and availability.

Summary

The Pharmacy Technician - Procurement & Logistics role is responsible for purchasing, receiving, storing, distributing, and maintaining the inventory of medications and supplies; processing purchase orders and invoices; managing medication recalls; and ensuring compliance with all medication supply chain requirements.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  2. License/Certifications: Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required.
  3. Experience: Three years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician required
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient in inventory systems and online ordering platforms. Knowledge of FDA standards, controlled substance regulations, and hazardous drug handling. Strong communication and collaboration skills with vendors, pharmacists, and clinical staff.

The pay range for this position is $23.38to $31.63 per hour.
