Job description

Pharmacy Technician (Reduced Full-Time)

Avita Care Solutions is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists with preparing and dispensing prescribed medications and providing patient care and education.

Location: Portland, OR (2236 SE Belmont St.)

Hours: Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm (four days/week).

About the Role

• Remove drug(s) from stock; count, pour, or mix pharmaceuticals
• Place the product into a container
• Affix the label or labels to the container
• Package/repackage as needed
• Verify/re-verify insurance benefits
• Interact courteously with patients and team members
• Answer incoming and make outbound calls to patients, case managers, providers, insurance companies, etc.
• Clearly write routine reports and correspondence
• Handle payment transactions at Point of Service and reconcile beginning and end-of-day transactions
• Proactively identify and analyze problems and provide effective solutions
• Perform additional related duties as assigned
• Embrace and perform in the spirit of the company’s core values and goals

About You

• High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree or higher preferred
• Must have an active and good standing Pharmacy Technician License in Oregon
• National Pharmacy Technician certification preferred (PTCB)
• One or more years of related pharmacy experience preferred
• Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong typing and data entry skills
• Must have reliable transportation to the Portland, OR pharmacy daily
• Positive attitude, energetic, flexible, excellent phone etiquette, exceptional customer service

Benefits

Pay range: $18–$25 per hour, based on credentials and geographic location.
