Salary: $46,176 - $70,657 annually

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our Acute Care Pharmacy team. In this role, you will assist with the preparation, filling, and dispensing of medications while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with pharmacy regulations. You will support pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care within an acute care hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fill and dispense unit-dose and stock medications accurately and promptly
  • Prepare and dispense oral and IV medications
  • Process and triage medication orders
  • Maintain the integrity and inventory of Automated Dispensing Systems (ADS)
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and patient safety standards
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician certification or Oregon Pharmacy Technician License upon hire
  • One of the following:
    • Minimum one year (2,080+ hours) of pharmacy experience in an integrated health system with current PTCB certification, or
    • Minimum two years (4,160+ hours) of hospital pharmacy experience if not PTCB certified
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program
  • Specialty certification such as ACPE-approved sterile compounding certification (where applicable)
  • Experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs)
  • Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR)
