Job summary

Skilled Nursing Pharmacy is seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician to support inventory control and purchasing operations in a high‑volume LTC setting. You will help maintain optimal stock levels and ensure accurate medication handling across the pharmacy.

The role requires a valid Pharmacy Technician license and at least 1 year of LTC pharmacy experience. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, with benefits and shift differentials as applicable.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician required.
• 1+ year LTC pharmacy experience in high‑volume setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels based on usage reports and history.
• Minimize FOA orders and restock efficiently.
• Manage expired, recalled, and returned medications.
• Maintain drug files in the computer system and communicate changes to supervisor.
• Support the supervisor and participate in scheduled inventories.
• Adapt duties as required by location.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under general direction of the purchasing supervisor, takes responsibility for supporting the pharmacy in its goal of maintaining satisfactory inventory levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory level based on utilization report and purchase history.
• Minimize Fill on Arrivals (FOA) orders.
• Restocking inventory.
• Manage expired, recalled and returned medications.
• Monitor and maintain drug files in computer system.
• Responsible for communicating any changes and all issues to department supervisor.
• Support and work closely with the department supervisor.
• Participate with corporate scheduled physical inventories.
• Other duties as assigned; job duties may vary by location.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician a must.
• 1+year of experience in a LTC Pharmacy setting and high volume pharmacy is preferred but not required.

SCHEDULE

• Variable according to business needs.
• Shift differentials apply to qualified shifts.

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
