Job summary

Skilled Nursing Pharmacy in California is seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy in maintaining satisfactory inventory levels and ensure accurate drug files. This role involves monitoring usage, reducing FOA orders, restocking, and handling recalls and expirations.

The ideal candidate will have a valid Pharmacy Technician license and at least 1 year of LTC experience. The position may involve variable shifts to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician is required.
• 1+ year LTC pharmacy experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels based on utilization reports.
• Minimize Fill on Arrivals (FOA) orders.
• Restock inventory as needed.
• Manage expired, recalled and returned medications.
• Maintain drug files in the computer system.
• Communicate changes and issues to the supervisor.
• Support and work closely with department supervisor.
• Participate in corporate scheduled inventories.

Under general direction of the purchasing supervisor, takes responsibility for supporting the pharmacy in its goal of maintaining satisfactory inventory levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory level based on utilization report and purchase history.
• Minimize Fill on Arrivals (FOA) orders.
• Restocking inventory.
• Manage expired, recalled and returned medications.
• Monitor and maintain drug files in computer system.
• Responsible for communicating any changes and all issues to department supervisor.
• Support and work closely with the department supervisor.
• Participate with corporate scheduled physical inventories.
• Other duties as assigned; job duties may vary by location.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician a must.
• 1+year of experience in a LTC Pharmacy setting and high volume pharmacy is preferred but not required.

SCHEDULE:
