Qualifications

• Formal Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1 year in a similar role or healthcare setting.
• Current state pharmacy technician certification.
• Valid Driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications and supplies for dispensing including compounding ointments, creams, oral solutions, TPN and large- or small-volume IV mixtures.
• Check unit doses and outpatient prescriptions; ensure accuracy and safety in dispensing.
• Control and audit narcotics and stock substances on a regular basis.
• Prepare inventories and order drugs and supplies; receive and stock shelves across locations.
• Perform monthly inspections, maintain workload records, and collect quality-assurance data.
• Transport medications and pharmacy equipment between the pharmacy and hospitals daily.
• Assist in training new employees as needed.
• Prepare sterile preparations per departmental policies and assist other staff.
