Job summary

University Hospital in San Antonio, TX, seeks a Registered Pharmacy Technician to support both inpatient and outpatient operations. You will assist pharmacists, prepare unit-dose medications, and ensure accurate labeling and dispensing across care settings.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, be registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, and have at least two years of experience as a registered pharmacy technician.

Qualifications

Graduation from high school/GED or equivalent experience is required.
Two years of experience as a registered pharmacy technician (CPhT) is preferred.
Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration is required.

Responsibilities

Set up unit-dose medications, prepare IV/piggyback admixtures, fill unit dose cassettes, and load medications into Pyxis.
Receive medication requests from patients, units, or clinics and handle refill calls and inquiries.
Enter prescriptions in inpatient/outpatient systems and manage labeling, credits, and charges.
