Job summary

Haven Behavioral Healthcare, an Oceans Healthcare Company, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support our inpatient pharmacy team in Albuquerque, NM. Under the direction of a licensed pharmacist, you will prepare medications, sterile admixtures, and distribute pharmaceuticals across hospital units.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork; requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1 year of experience, current state pharmacy technician certification, and a valid driver's license,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Current state pharmacy technician certification and a valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications and supplies for dispensing including compounding ointments, creams, oral solutions, and IV admixtures.
• Control and audit narcotics/stock substances on a regular basis.
• Prepare inventories and stock shelves; order drugs and supplies; receive drugs from storeroom.
• Perform monthly inspections, maintain workload records, and collect quality assurance data.
• Transport medications and pharmacy equipment between the pharmacy and hospitals daily.
• Assist in training new employees and prepare sterile preparations per policies.
