The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Riverview

AdventHealth is expanding its expertise, innovation, and technology to southern Hillsborough County through a new hospital in Riverview, scheduled to open in 2024. The new facility will include 82 beds at opening, with potential to expand to 202 beds. The project also includes a 100,000 sq ft Medical Office Building providing convenient access to care. Services offered will include emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic, and women’s care.

The role you’ll contribute:

Participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships. Your primary responsibilities include medication distribution and pharmacy operational tasks, assisting the pharmacist with preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will perform duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all pharmacy services, including responding to medication requests, preparing medications for pharmacist review, delivering medications, and managing unused or expired medications.

• Perform all pharmacy technician functions and maintain proficiency in standard work parameters, hospital and pharmacy systems, and operational programs.
• Maintain operational expertise and provide coverage in at least two areas:
• Central/distributive pharmacy operations
• Supporting Clinical Services
• Purchasing and Inventory Management

Qualifications

The expertise and experience needed:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of experience
• Pharmacy Intern
• Sterile Compounding & Aseptic Technique-IV Certification Course
