Serving Taylor and surrounding communities since 1977, it offers specialty services including 24-hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, surgical pavilion, pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, inpatient rehabilitation, and full-service radiology with advanced imaging capabilities.
Scope of work
Fills medication orders including oral, injectable, topical medications, and intravenous admixtures.
Enters patient demographics, insurance information, and prescriptions into the pharmacy system, prioritizing scripts for customers waiting.
Handles rejected claims appropriately, processes prescriptions, retrieves medications, fills, labels, and attaches notifications.
Files completed scripts after pharmacist verification, answers calls, assists customers at the lobby and drive-through, updates and transmits daily drug orders, monitors special orders and shortages.
Processes daily drug orders from wholesalers, stocks shelves, checks for outdated drugs, logs controlled substances, and manages invoices.
Contacts suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies, distributes medications to patient care areas, and reconciles cash drawers twice daily.
Performs record-keeping duties, assists in training new staff, maintains a safe work environment, and disinfects work areas.
May rotate to other outpatient or home delivery pharmacies as needed.
