Job summary

Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a full-time in-office dispensing pharmacy technician focused on prior authorization and patient financial assistance. Monday - Friday, daytime schedule with no holidays.

You will handle prescription processing, insurance eligibility, and patient billing inquiries. The role requires a Pharmacy Technician license in Arizona, 1 year of retail pharmacy experience, and familiarity with PHI and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of in-office dispensary processes and billing.
• Ability to interpret prescriptions and compute dispensing quantities.
• Strong written and verbal communication; maintain PHI confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Receive electronic prescriptions, verify insurance eligibility and enter patient data.
• Select medications from stock, prepare doses, label containers and prepare for delivery.
• Assist with billing, payor communications and re-authorizations.
• Coordinate with CFO on contracts and payer requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.
