Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support prescription processing, data entry, and medication preparation under pharmacist supervision. You will interact with patients, answer questions, process transactions and assist with daily pharmacy operations.

This role emphasizes accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. Training and development are provided to advance your skills and maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ (or 18+ depending on location)
• Board of Pharmacy registration/licensure where applicable
• Operate computers, registers and pharmacy systems
• Complete required pharmacy training programs and technician development
• Knowledge of pharmacy procedures, prescription processing, and HIPAA guidelines
• Proficient in computer systems and basic math calculations
• Read, interpret and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and enter data under pharmacist supervision
• Prepare medications and assist with dispensing within regulatory guidelines
• Handle customer inquiries and transactions, directing clinical questions to the pharmacist
• Maintain organization of records, restock supplies, and keep the workspace clean
